What if the property caught fire and they needed to move the car? (It's happened at our house before, hill behind our backyard was burning and almost took the house. we had to evacuate and moved the cars down the street to safety) Or if somebody ran out of gas and they needed to run to the gas station and take some gas to whoever was stranded. Emergencies happen and since it isn't HIS house he really should leave the keys with someone responsible.......maybe not just leave them hanging in the kitchen or somewhere accessible to little shits like his step bro.
